Forget bailout here is my plan

September 26, 2008

Anyone facing foreclosure knows that in most cases that they have been snookered. Funny how mortgage contracts will adjust for increasing payments, but none adjust down if the economy goes bad.

Now the government is going to give Wall Street a 700 Billion dollar bailout plan. Now this plan is suppose to help the homeowner. It does not address unemployment and loss of jobs, the adjusting of mortgage rates that are the root causes.

Let us think about this:

  • Gas prices are higher than ever
  • We spend billions of dollars per month in Iraq
  • Unemployment is high
  • Food Prices have increased
  • Most homes have lost value leaving little to no equity
  • Utilities such as gas and electric are higher
  • Credit is scarce and refinance market is dead
  • Average family income is down
  • Bankruptcies are high

Who wins?

  • Oil companies recording record profits
  • Brokers, who have taken money from the stock and equity markets
  • Retiring executives from most markets with golden parachutes
  • Those who are operating the banks and brokerage firms

Those responsible will not suffer; the good old taxpayer is coming to the rescue. Okay, so we bail them out and have our government, buy the homes that have lost their value in many ways. Now the government will also have to absorb the cost in foreclosure. That is an additional expense.

Here is the major question, with banks and other institutions having dumped all their bad paper on the government, what is next? The answer to that is who knows.

Here is a solution, when you wean a baby off the bottle; you just take it away from the baby. That is what we have to do to the financial institutions. This has to be fixed in part by government but with a ground floor view.

If you want to help those homeowners and reverse the economy here is the plan

  • A 6-month freeze on all foreclosures and those up coming for the next year
  • A $ 10,000.00 grant to all unemployed homeowners that need to get back on their feet
  • An audit on all mortgage companies that financed the sub-prime market
  • Allow modification of mortgage contracts on all distressed property
  • Allow 6 months for homeowners to get gainful employment (if they are unemployed)
  • Invest 100 billion for new “green” energy jobs
  • Invest 100 billion in full scholarships in community colleges for new high tech or “green” jobs
  • Financial Institutions that hold vacated property will keep them
  • Those pending foreclosures will be turned over to the government
  • The government will then administrate the process of implementing the above points.
  • The mortgagee when employed will modify their contract with the governmental agency.
  • Let the private sector sell the vacated properties through auction or other means

This is what I call trickle up economics. The intention is to assist those who are facing financial distress in most cases this will allow the homeowner to pay off their real estate taxes, allow them to find gainful employment. They will also buy food, pay utility bills, and help offset the price of gas. It is a terrible thing when you must commute 20 to 30 miles and do not have any money for gas. You must go to where the jobs are.

There are three types of people affected here, the employed, the unemployed and the multiple dwelling homeowners.  The employed would need a modified contract. The unemployed would need a moratorium and financial aid if not eligible for unemployment. Then there are those who have multiple dwelling units which the economy does not directly effect their primary residence.

Implementation can be administered by HUD, the first action that needs to be taken is an instant moratorium on all forecloses and real estate tax liens.

  • Set Up Special Temporary Branch under HUD to implement program
  • HUD takes all the recorded default notices
  • This program will be voluntary to homeowners
  • Residents affected will contact a 1-800 number for the financial grant
  • HUD will verify the information given
  • Homeowner will fill out application and send to HUD via internet, fax or mail.
  • HUD will release half of the $ 10,000.00 grant and in 30 days release the other half.
  • If Homeowner is collecting unemployment benefits HUD will reduce the scheduled unemployment benefit amount from the HUD payments for the 6 month period
  • Homeowner has 6 months to find gainful employment.
  • Within the 4 month period Homeowner will contact HUD for mortgage contract modification
  • Homeowners who are employed will contact HUD for assistance in mortgage modification
  • When mortgage modification is approved by HUD then the Homeowner will start making payments to the mortgage holder of record.

Mortgage holders are not bailed out, but will be allowed have the distressed properties temporarily moved off their balance sheets into a holding company account. This will relieve their balance sheet on a temporary basis, which will allow them to qualify for appropriate credit. They will report to the SEC (if a public company) and HUD the information on the holding company, with complete details. No other transactions other than that of distressed real estate are to be post to this holding company. .

When a homeowner starts to make payments on the modified mortgage contract the mortgage holder will transfer from the holding account the original value back to the mortgage holder’s original balance sheet.

In this way everybody wins, the mortgage holder, the homeowner and the government. This plan will result in more jobs; mortgage holders’ credit restored and distressed properties relieved. Of course, there are more details to work out but overall I believe my plan can be implemented in very little time.

Prosperity and Weight Loss

January 14, 2008

One wouldn’t think that weight loss has anything to do for prosperity. Yet it seems that through the eyes of employers and our social circles that prosperity seems to elude us in one form or another.

Well let us put the record straight. Most employers look at you! So if you don’t look your best and feel confident, what do you think your perspective employer will think of you. Yes, we do hope that they will measure our experience and skills as Paramount. That is not the real world.  Employers look at you and your physical presence and evaluate accordingly.

Employers are aware that people who are overweight pose problems when it comes to having good health. That is not to say that you are not healthy. It is just statistical information that will draw the attention of the prospective employer.

You know a lot of people want to become prosperous, but they don’t look the part. Being overweight makes one look as if they are careless about their health. That is just plain and simple talk. If you want to become truly prosperous maybe the first place to start is with your own health.

You want to look good! Actually you want to look fantastic. Well the impression could be carried over by your personality but it will not be congruent with your physical conditioning. To be prosperous confidence in not only what you know but also in how you present yourself.  If you look prosperous, the subconscious part of the physical should match your skill and educational levels as well.

Even for promotions in some cases if a person would have lost a few pounds that employer would have noticed you right away from the new clothes or the astounding weight loss that you have taken responsibility for.

This is not to say that you can not succeed and be prosperous being overweight, far from it. I do believe because of the stereotyping that goes on, prosperity could be attracted much quicker if one is in control of themselves. Frankly I don’t care on a certain level of what anybody else thinks of me. What is most important is what I think of myself. Yet I do want to show that I am aware of my body and do lose weight. I believe it is important for ones own self esteem.

I have been doing The Master Cleanse Diet and a modified one and lost 7 pounds already in 4 days. Guest what “no exercise or special menu’s” Pretty good don’t you think?

Prosperity does relate to the physical, don’t fool yourself into believing otherwise.

Why Britney Spears Can’t Change

January 11, 2008

A lot of people are still on the Britney Spears bandwagon. She has lost custody of her children what next? Talk of Intervention? I think this is coming in a little too late. She is now paying this Fedex 15K a month for child support. With a real good attorney he can milk her for a few hundred thousand a month.

Britney is heading fast to working at a diner.  Don’t forget Fedex is paying for 2 other children he had not very long before he worked with Britney.  His meal ticket is attached to Britney, I wonder what will happen if suddenly the money runs out? I bet you he will send those children back faster than you can spit. He would certainly have to make other arrangements, maybe have one of the parents start to take of care of his kids while he looks for, dare I say it, Work!

I hope he has been practicing his dance moves because he may be back at work rather soon, if Britney doesn’t get on track shortly. Do I understand this correctly, the guy Britney is with now is married? What is going on here?

There is a simple answer, Britney Spears has a self image problem. She is fixed on a set of conditional habits and they tend to bring her right back to where she was before. These paradigms are her habits. Those behaviors are the things that she needs to modify. Most people don’t know that they have habits. These habits are formed unconsciously. You will never out perform your self image. If your self esteem or self Image is low, the paradigms are keeping you there.

Britney Spears must change her self image. This can only be done by her. Yes, people can help her, but it boils down to education and coaching. She needs a real guide, not a phony that does not get the results that are expected. She simply doesn’t yet have the right guidance to keep herself on the growth track and start being more responsible.

This has nothing to do with money, but it will eventually spill over to that. She took a hit on one of the award shows, she is getting very little sales from what I understand from her new record. I have no idea how much money she spends, but it seems she is always out shopping or partying.

Britney Spears is a wonderful girl. But, she really needs some help. Like I say, give her to me for a couple of months and I will get that behavior corrected, paradigms gives you blindspots, she needs to have her eyes opened.

That is my message,

What is your message?

December 27, 2007

We all are constantly sending out messages, whether by word or by body language.  Are you sending out the right messages? Since we do have control over our thoughts we have that advantage to change our messages at any time.  Now just think about this, we can smile, think happy thoughts, change our biophysical chemistry and that is what we broadcast to others.

Some people have difficulties when they are in a poor state of mind. They can not seem to put themselves in the proper frame of mind. There is something to the statement of turning that frown upside down. A smile communicates many things, that one is happy, loving and another being confident. Laughter always helps and sometimes I do look for a joke or two to break my mood. I find that smiling is always helpful it puts me in a position of advantage.

There is a statement which goes like this “Production is the basis of Morale.” That statement is true, in that, if your production is leading you towards that which you want, you morale is high. Think about that, when you are in the trenches working on a project, you want a certain outcome or result, what happens? I know with myself I am focused, happy, confident, feeling very powerful. Yet if your production is aimless, or you have no outcome in mind, what occurs is that you tend to lose your enthusiasm for the project.

Bob Proctor once said “there were these stock brokers who were excited because they were making money, but the truth is they were making money because they were excited.” This is definitely a true statement. These past few weeks I have been excited about taking part in an opportunity, and because I got excited, I started to make money.  But as soon as any doubt or grim thought comes in then the mood shifts and nothing happens.

We can neutralize our enthusiasm by just thinking the opposite “The What If” scenario, which will steal your power. Keeping in that state of mind to produce income, is a fine line. It is like you are placing yourself on a fence, lean to one direction and there you will fall, lean to other and there you are. Funny thing about our choices, even this example makes me laugh, but it is so true, because we can be very perplexed. Our own thoughts can betray us. Is this the message you want to send? If our thoughts can betray us so quickly, what is the tool that we can use to offset these feelings? It is as simple as a smile, a laugh or a thought of love. Think of a little kitty in your hands, you whole mood just changes.

What we focus on does expand. Let us take a look at what we are focusing on. This in itself sends out that message to the material world and the universe. We are so bent on having evidence placed in our view that sometimes we forget the right sequence in which things manifest in our lives. To continue to harp on not seeing results only reinforces the same behavior that brings about those results we are not seeing. This may not be stated eloquently but it is true none the less.

You know sometimes things just don’t work out the way you would like them to. The search for your answer is right there within you. But, when the same thing happens consistently, you don’t ask for help. You feel that if you did it would be a sign of weakness. If I have learned anything in my entire life, I have learned that asking for help brings about the solutions that you need to hear. They may not be what you want to hear, but you need to hear them anyway. You want to have a great year, but you go it alone and bam your right back to where you started. You can change that, but you fear that if you do others will take advantage. I have been their and done that. The greatest results I had ever gotten came from a mentor or from something that I was accountable for.

If you want to send out a great message and you want to be effective, by all means hire a life coach or a great friend that will support you and keep you accountable. You will find that your message with some help will shift toward what you want, faster and with greater impact, then going it alone.

Think happy and prosperous thoughts, visualize in every project, action or activity reaping the rewards from focused attention that produces the outcomes that you are looking for. Take charge of your own “happiness makeover” and that is my message!

Redefining Retirement – Looking Down The Rabbit Hole

December 17, 2007

We know that there is going to be a huge drawdown of pensions, retirement benefits, 401Ks and IRAs over the next eight years. Will the stock market hold up? That is a good question. Predictably, the stock market will go into a downturn for many years. This will start to require some response from Wall Street if they want to manage it.

This would dictate that new financial instruments will have to be created in order to support and leverage such a turn down. The turndown will start to put the pressure on the financial brokerage community to bring forth some measure of financial security. When the “Baby Boomers” start to wake up to the fact that there retirement is being redefined by government, it will send some people running and screaming bloody murder.

Action on the social security system must be taken over the next few years. Ignoring this problem or neglecting the on coming drawdown, would be disastrous. Will the government raise the age of retirement? I believe so as they will have no other options that will work to delay the draw down of retirement funds. It isn’t just the government; Wall Street is going to have to take action as well.  Banks are going to go crazy as the income flow from savings accounts will also start to diminish.

Aside, from all of this what about the little guy? Retirement is not going to be that much of an option, with certain exceptions, a large percentage of the retiring community is going to come up real short. Inflation won’t stop, prices will continue to rise, and housing markets will be flat. This period over the next eights years are going to be crucial. Government spending will have to be curtailed much more than any other period. There best investment is in new technologies and emerging markets involving new energy resources such as hybrid cars, alternative fuels, solar energy for homes and businesses.

There is no escape clause here; even the business community will be forced to make adequate changes to there own operations. These commutes to and from work is one place that they can start projects. Most administrative workers have computers at home and are connected to the net. The structure of having middle management sitting in supervision within a department will have to go network. It will eventually be the case where the worker is at home communicating to the main branch or hub for the company that they work for or with.

There is ample opportunity to start making these changes now. Any forward looking business will also see the merits of this type of structure. Of course this brings about other factors to consider, such as Workers’ Compensation Insurance. Look at a large company such as Walt Disney; since they wouldn’t have that many people in those cubicles, they could easily trim down the amount of buildings they need to occupy.

This would also encourage employees to work with that company longer, since they will still receive their benefits and pay, and save the commute. This inadvertently, saves energy for the commuter and the company. Let us not forget what has been on the table all year long, that is, the green house gases, which will also improve by just having people work out of their apartments or homes. I don’t know about you but at age 70 I don’t believe I would want to go through all the traffic and bottlenecks to get to work. There could be arrangements made whereby the worker comes in once or twice a week for meetings or for filing important papers. Companies right now can easily set up secured intranet accounts or VPNs.

Training and Education is very important especially if one is going to phase over to this type of plan. Running software, being security conscious, and backing up what one is processing are going to be key skills to have when employing such as strategy. This will eventually save most companies millions of dollars and they will be able to pay out “retirement” bound workers a bit more to stay on. Maybe one argument is that people would abuse that freedom and not show up to work. If that is the case as Donald Trump says “Your Fired!”

This is a paradigm shift. In order to keep up with all of the demands for energy savings, funding through taxation, avoidance of having too much of the aging population ending up on the streets, action must be taken. We can not continue the same old routines. There is absolutely no reason to avoid any of these issues. Preparation is more than half the battle, implementing solutions now is the answer.

Redefining retirement is simply changing the terrain. One has to adapt to the environment. Receiving a check that won’t even pay your mortgage or rent is leaving one with no choice but to continue to work. There is no fault finding here, we can not blame anyone for anything when it comes to our own financial problems.

Those who want to actually retire are going to have a few options but not many. In most cases, the home based business, will start to see many “Baby Boomers” entering these emerging markets. They will have most of the computer skills necessary or will have to do some training but not much, at least in a technical sense.

As I said before no one escapes this. The auto industry will be forced to spearhead the energy markets if they want to save themselves from bankruptcy. As Americans we need to lead the way, other countries are going to be really hurting, so it is going to be up to us to get this right. We have to set the example. Maybe it hurts to think about our future, maybe I am being a little too passionate about it. The trends don’t lie. We know what is coming so let us get prepared to take the appropriate action. My thought is do it now.

New Year’s Resolutions – How to make them work

December 15, 2007

We are coming to a new year. Traditionally this is a time of family, friends and reflection on the year that has transpired. We assess what we have accomplished and what we want to accomplish over the next year for ourselves and or our families. We look at what we have and what we want to have in or out of our lives. It is a time to form a resolve to kick a habit, to change something about us or to achieve a milestone or benchmark for our betterment.

Much consideration is given to a particular issue. Whether it is to lose weight or make more money, we mull over some idea of what we want to achieve. We set up a strategy and draft some sort of plan and decide this year we will go for it. Then after a few days, weeks or even a month we abandon the whole idea and go right back to where we were. This backsliding is not unusual, nor uncommon. We are resolved even excited to do something that will change our lives for the better, yet we fail, put it on the shelf and maybe next year we will have more strength to accomplish that goal.

One can not live in “Someday aisle.” When you have the potential to achieve anything you want in life and abandon that which you know is a great idea, you are treating yourself with disrespect. That disregard which you would never expect from anyone else, at least anyone close to you, will eat at you slowly over time. If not now, when are you going to do the things that you want to do? You need to get rid of those little monkeys in your head and get to the task at hand.    My experience has taught one thing, that if don’t want it bad enough, you will not make the move to get it. The question remains, “How intensely do you want to change this particular thing?” If your desire is not yours, you will fail. If your desire is based on “it’s a good idea” you will fail. If your desire is unrealistic you will fail. The only way that you will achieve the thing that you want to achieve is because of the outcome or the benefits that outweigh the act on not changing it at all. The idea of achieving or defeating some issue in your life is such that you will do anything to achieve it, now we have something to work with. That burning desire that just lights up everything inside you is what you need to have. An “almost” burning desire won’t do.

The first step, to change is your desire to achieve that goal. Intelligently knowing what you want isn’t enough. You must become emotionally hooked on it as well. Your thoughts and feelings are what determine your actions. If you think about the outcome or benefit and your absent of any feeling for its achievement, you need to start to get excited about that achievement. You see it is the only thing that will start you on the path to success. Get excited!

The next step is defining that goal. You need to define it in words that create the picture in your mind of what it is that you want. For instance, you want to lose weight, this is always a great example. Do you want to lose weight or do you want to see yourself in a more a fit body. So what is the goal here? The goal isn’t working out routinely, that is a task, not a goal. The goal is “I am a toned 150 pounds and my abs are so tight that you can bounce a coin off of them, I am strong, flexible and always energized, people look at me in amazement.” Now this statement is more powerful or thought provoking than just I want to weight so many pounds. Yuk! Then set a date for when this will be achieved.

This should be followed as to why you want to achieve this goal or conquer this issue. Define what your desire represents to you. How will it make you feel? It can not be just good! You must feel “POWERFUL” “IN CONTROL” “ELATED” “FIRED UP” so that the feelings can carry you through your challenges and there will be challenges make no mistake about that. Oh no, you are not going to get away from adversity. That is part and parcel of your preparation to start on this venture or journey.

What we are doing is adjusting your thoughts and feelings. As I had said in the above paragraphs, your thoughts and feelings will determine your actions. Now comes the hardest part, keep your goals in front of you and read them over and over again at least 2-3 times a day to remind you of where you are headed. You want to avoid pitfalls, so make sure before you “do” anything that you have impressed your goal and the reason why, first. People have a tendency to skip this step, don’t. If you do not impress your idea with the proper emotions first, you won’t act on it.

Once you start getting a hold on this, there will be times where you can also start doing it on a dime. So quickly that your body will immediately take action to achieve your objective or goal, it will take practice, but one step at a time. Again you can use this process on anything, just remember step one.

Setting up a support system is a great thing to do. If you want to become wealthy, don’t pay attention to those who are not wealthy. You want to study or hang around those who are wealthy, go to their seminars, read their books, get around winners. Here is the trap as well, if you want to lose weight and everyone around is overweight, don’t talk to them about your goal. They will say that they support you, but consciously or unconsciously they will start to bring you down. You want to lose weight, read body building magazines, read books about body building and there are great Ebooks on the subject from bodybuilders. Hire a personal trainer, heck hire a life coach. Whatever you do stay out of the “complaint and negative support groups.” They may have the same goals as you, but their negative input, such as “that doesn’t work or I tried this or that” will defeat you. They won’t inspire you they will crush your dreams with their drama in life. Read the inspiring stories, the motivational stuff that keeps the fires in you burning at a fever pitch. Forget the trash, don’t read it, don’t write about it, or allow any space in your mind for anything that will disempower you.

You must remember that you are going to move forward, and your paradigm or habits are going to be pushing up against you, trying to re-establish the norm that you are trying to change. That original self image will only be defeated if you take control. That is why it is so important that you have a mentor, a best buddy or a life coach that will help you stay on track. Your mind and your body is going to go into protest mode, it doesn’t want to go away from the familiar. Keeping yourself on track and excited will get you to where you want to go.

Actions are the next and final step for you to take. Remember these are “tasks.” This is not the goal.  These tasks are the things that you choose to do to make progress to your goal. Take on step at a time and don’t try to become what you want in one fail swoop. No Hail Mary actions are necessary to make it. The only leap of faith you need to take is the belief that you are going to achieve your goal no matter what. If you want more wealth than make a wealth plan, more health, make a health plan, more confidence, make a more confidence plan. Then take action daily on the tasks that you need to follow in order to achieve what you want.

One other tip, now this is important, do what is most priority first. It’s that one thing that you truly want to achieve. Maybe you have 3-4 or more goals, don’t get scattered among all the goals. You want to spend your major time on that which you want the most. If your goal is better fitness and you also have wealth goals, which one weighs more for you? If you are in better shape, would it not affect you ability to gain more wealth? While you are executing one goal, you can of course start studying up on another.

Once you have achieved your major goal you will be even more motivated to achieve others. You build success one goal at a time. Then what will happen is that you will be able to handle more than one at a time without getting scattered all over the place.

Rehearse your goal daily, before you get up in the morning, read your goal card, think about how you want your day to turn out. This may be a little difficult at first, but if you do it daily it will start getting easier. Keep yourself excited and bring that excitement to each task. You will arrive at your goal and find that you can achieve anything that you want. Your thoughts, feelings and actions will form your attitude toward your goal, make it monumental!

The Process of Goal Definition

December 7, 2007

One of major factors that become a stumbling block is we generally forget what the goal is. We already posses the ability to be, do and have anything we want.  How do I know this? Well it is very simple. When we want to achieve a goal, we always strive to get it. There are few parameters that surround goal achievement that does not vary, no matter what you do.  You can achieve any goal that you want. I will give you the example of getting a drivers’ license. Remember when you were young and you just turned of age to get a drivers’ license?

One of the things that happened was you got excited. You set the goal to get the license, not for the sake of having one, but for what it represented to you at the time.  Right before I even started my driving lessons, I was excited I could see and feel myself in possession of that license. Now, what was happening was that the license represented freedom, liberty to travel beyond a limited area, also to go where I want to go at any time. Wait you say, you don’t have a car and you have not even started your lessons yet. This is correct reality, my circumstances, resources were not even there. Yet I pushed to get that drivers’ license.

The goal was not to learn how to drive; the goal was to have in my possession the drivers’ license. Why did I want that drivers’ license? It is how it may me feel, pure and simple. Did I have to learn to drive? Of course, I had to go through the process or better yet through certain steps to get to the goal.

The goal was the drivers’ license, the steps were to pass the written test, get the driving lessons, take the driving test and with a pass on all of these, then obtain the official license.  What was the process? It was these steps:

1) Know what you want

2) Get excited about it

3) Know, why you want it

4) Set your mind to it

5) Get on with the work

Here is your bonus this process is already in you. You own it and you can make it work for anything that you want. This is where it gets tricky, today you might want a fit body; tomorrow you want to be a daredevil, the next day you want to run for a government office. That is why we don’t get to our goals or anywhere close.  This does not require any circumstance or resource, you simply focus on what you want and fix your mind to it. You keep yourself excited and remind yourself about what achieving this goal represents to you. The more clarity the more steps you will achieve or go through at a faster pace.   This is why your vision of where you want to arrive is so important. The more clarity the more the desire, the more the desire the more order and movement results in that given direction. Remember that we can not outperform our self image; we can only change how we think about ourselves.

That power to achieve anything we want is already in our possession, we were born with it, we just have to learn how to use it effectively.

Trends and the end of Retirement

November 24, 2007

There are many factors at this time that point to the fact that the idea of retirement will be coming to a close. One of the primary factors is mainly demographic in nature. Though the US still has replacement population above the current workforce, Europe and Japan are already seeing there replacement workforce dipping below those who would seek retirement in the next few years. This will put a strain on their productivity and lower demands for consumer spending that has not been seen for over 600 years.

Eighty million baby boomers here in the US will be drawing down their pensions, retirement savings and passive investments over the next eight years, which will push the stock market into a longer term bearish trend. The US economy will be strained by this, Japan and European economies will take a severe beating.  What this means is that in order to offset most of the draw downs from retirement earnings and withdrawals on the social security system plus other governmental welfare supplemental transfers, they must raise the payment of full benefits of retirement to the age of 75.

Over the next 2-5 years there will be a continued flattening of most major corporations. Though we have seen the corporate flow of downsizing and rightsizing; that is not by any means over. The technology explosion will be showing up with major advancements in information and communications. This will lesson the need for middle managers and redundant workers. There will be ample jobs for redundant workers, as they will be absorbed by new business start ups. Middle managers however will have to be retrained with specialized skills in order to keep pace with the technology boom that will be unleashed over the next 2 years. There will be a need for managers to develop people skills in working with employees under their charge. The benefits of using more complex customized programming such as SAP will outweigh the cost of doing so.

The advancement of technology will be in the areas of computers, telecommunications, and the internet. Moore’s law will keep working in the advent of the advancement of computers that will most likely be 5 times more powerful than what we have in the commercial market today. Along with that robotics that will start to replace more of the manual industrial jobs.

By 2025 most auto industries will be sent to the orient mainly China. The reason is with the projected demographics and its impact to the economy, the decline of average consumer spending, it would not be cost effective to build and sell automobiles here in the US, Europe or Japan.  Health industries will be getting more attention, for the aging population that will be working longer. Advancements in Gene therapies and stem cell research will also be giving these workers a better quality of life but at a price none the less. This will also boost positions in the health field inclusive of fitness, such as Personal Trainers and Aerobic Instructors.

Specialists in any field at this time will then be the one’s to write their own ticket especially those involved in Computer Programming, Network Administration and Information Technologies. Most management activities will lean toward decision models and knowledge management systems. This will create major middle management unemployment, in an economy that will have over 10 million jobs available for the right people with specialized skills.  Most corporations will attempt to keep their best workers paying more and be willing to retrain them, than letting them go to retirement.

By 2009 the peak spending of most baby boomers will occur and along with that robotics or artificial intelligence will start to pick up the pace in replacing the factory workers on their manual labor. There will be a great economic boom during 2009. The NASDAQ will see incredible growth from 2010 to 2015 and should hit 6500. For those in retirement or going into retirement they should be watchful for good investment in the technologies industry during this period.

The population in developing countries will continue to grow. This will help balance on consumer spending during the decline of the peak consumption in the late 2015 to 2025 from most of the industrialized and wealthiest countries in the world. Most of the consumption will shift to the developing countries such as India, but Africa will still be in crisis.  Real wages per capita will continue to rise while profits will tend to decline. This marks the turn of lower wages for employees, to the expense of profits overall. Business will now be depending highly on their skilled labor, as replacement for retiring workers will be coming in through immigration from outside sources, which are more educated and experienced with new technologies.

Some sampling reflects those who do plan to retire do not have any savings at this time. Most Social Security benefits will not supplement sufficiently to cover the rising cost of living during retirement over the next 15 to 20 years. Most Gen X’ers will not be able to compete against the more experienced and skilled baby boomers.  Baby boomers looking at retirement do have some options. They can liquidate their homes in favor of smaller homes or apartment living. Cut down on travel and other expenses. I don’t believe that after working 35 to 40 years that this option will be what one would want, but that is an option. Financial planning will also be helpful, yet with the retirement draw down by 2015 the returns may not be enough, and other supplemental actions will have to be taken in order to build a stable future income.

Real estate in 2015 will also receive more declines being that there will be less of a demand. Health care such as retirement communities will see some increase but not as much because cost for this special retirement housing and care, will also rise. Less consumer spending will lesson demand and supplies will be handled on order to fill basis.  Technology will take up the slack on the fill to order, in that machines will be set up to manufacture other machines. Let us say you order a computer, when the order is taken then it is merely inputted into a machine which will build it on site and process to shipping.

What this also means is that one will truly experience and enjoy the Golden Information Age. That rapid telecommunications, less manual labor, and more focused specialized areas will develop, giving everyone more of the good life, but it will come at the cost of your labor.  This pretty much changes everything. Should you want to still retire in your sixties, you will need to have a plan in place that will more than support you for at least another 20 years after retirement. This will most likely come as a shock to some but not to those who have looked forward into the future with realistic expectations.

Cost of living may level a bit, but will continue to rise. So if you are living at a cost of 40K now expect to spend 60k when you retire to just keep up with your current lifestyle. There maybe arguments generated by “financial planners” but most of them are not seeing past today’s statistics.  Just remember, the draw down from retirement plans will affect your returns, over the next eight years. The way to figure what you need to retire is simple. Take your current income plus your expenses and add 20%. If you have a lifestyle of 40K per year and your living expenses are 15K add them together (40K+15K) should be about 55K then multiply that by 20% (55K*.20) 55K + 11K = 66K is what you need to continue your current lifestyle over the next 10 to 20 years.

Life expectancy rate for men in the US is currently at 74.4 and for women in the US it is 79.8. (Measures from 2003) In either case the raise in retirement age is not for enjoyment of going into your golden years where you can do what you want. You will either be restricted in movement by economics or health. Health technologies will extend life expectancy over the next 5-10 years to as much as 15 more years on top of that. Which means that you most likely be broke before you expire.  Now is a good time to start looking at other sources of income that will more than supplement social security. Remember, that congress is also looking at cutting off your social security benefits if your pension or 401k yields more than 70K a year. Your retirement lifestyle is at risk.

The good news is that the internet which has a global reach; will also experience a boom over the next few years, taking those who have already established businesses into a whole new vista of possibilities the likes which no one has seen before. This is the scope of the future, those off the information highway, will suffer due to their own ignorance, and not because this information is not available.  Should anyone doubt these trends, you can research them through many agencies, such as Labor Statistics, Censes Bureaus and recent breakthroughs in Stem Cell research.

Ten things I would advise Britney Spears to consider:

October 6, 2007

Where Thoughts Become ThingsAn Open invitation to Britney

Ten things I would advise Britney Spears to consider: There is a lot of advice, accusations and relentless criticism on how Britney is either bad or good, and even insane.  What is important is not what others think about Britney, it is what she thinks and feels about herself. It is clear that she has had poor advice, negative influences, and a multitude of challenges in her personal life not just in her career.

If those who are throwing the mud on this lady, would experience what she is experiencing, it would be enough to drive anyone nuts. If it wasn’t for certain laws, you would find press people in her bathroom, if it wasn’t illegal. Britney is responsible for her actions, but she has not been trained on how to handle these intruders into her everyday routines.

Though I respect Dr. Phil, his little episode of “interviewing the inner circle” those critics, and saying on national TV she should commit herself, I don’t feel is very helpful, in matter of fact it appears to be grandstanding. Yes, lets call in the experts and have them weigh in on “How Bad Britney is” how they will do a better job of “fixing” her.

Britney, the influences around you are destroying you, and you have given permission for them to do so. Right now, those “weighing in” are like vultures just waiting for your last breath. Don’t let them take your power away. Stop doing what you are doing and think.  I recommend that you consider doing the following:

1)  Go on a retreat – remove yourself from all these influences, for at least 3 months.

2)  Comply with the court 100% without fail – send a letter of apology to the court, to your ex-husband, and to all that you may have injured over the past year.  No excuse, no blame, no stories. Take responsibility for your actions

3) Take the time to evaluate and review all of the influences around you. Look at the relationships and determine what you have become due to these attachments.

4) Get back to basics – Look at your health, wealth and level of happiness. You can not go back into the past, but you can determine what outcomes you want in these areas of your life.

5) Establish a Philosophy by determining what values are most important to you.

6) Journal – Get a journal and start to process where you are and what you really want your life to be. What actions you will take in the future, what your feelings are, where you want to go in your life.

7) Establish concrete goals for every aspect of your life. Make them so big that it will take a miracle to achieve them.

8) Re-Claim your power over your life – Make the decision to take the appropriate actions to reclaim the power over your life.

9) Re-establish all of your valued relationships with family and friends and all those that have stuck by you over the years.

10) Reinvent and resurrect your career – Time to start back up on the road to your life. Do the things that you love to do, that make you feel alive again.

New E book Out

September 25, 2007

Well I finally did it. I have completed my new E book. I have entitled it Secret Steps – A Guide for Planning the Life You Want To Live!

I have researched and use my own experience to get this guide together, it has been months of work and going through many compilations to get it done.

I feel that this will help a lot of people through different phases in their lives. The application are wide, yet help people to narrow down exactly what they want in life. This is quite a deal.

I know that I have gone through many different changes and have grabbed many different book, and ended up not knowing anymore than when I started. I wanted to resolve this issue and get things on the straight and narrow.

The feedback I have been getting is awesome. Anyway I am really happy to have gotten this work out. I throw in about $ 1500.00 worth of free goodies with it.

Now I am getting ready to start my next book. Can’t Wait!!
